Your Scientific Gateway to the study of groundwater interaction with more than 

  2000 lakes93,000 miles of rivers and mountain streams, and 232 hot springs!  

 

About 30% of the fresh water on earth is ground water.  All the rivers and lakes combined account 

for less than 1%.  The rest is tied up in icecaps and glaciers mainly in Greenland and Antarctica.

The University of Idaho – Hydrology Program is a long-established program of hydrogeology and hydrology with a rich history in applied research and graduate education. 

 

Since created in 1965, more than 160 M.S. Hydrology* degrees have been earned.
