| The Chichen-Itza ball court is one of the largest in
all of Mesoamerica. The playing field is 480 feet by 120
feet, which is about the size of an American football
field. Most other ball courts, like the one at Uxmal, are about
the size of a tennis court. |

| The vertical walls of the Chichen-Itza ball court are
27 feet high and the rings are located 25 feet above the ground.
Most other ball courts had outward sloping sides that were much
lower and easier to play. |
