Austin and London: University of Texas Press, 1980.  This book covers the topic of Middle America astronomy and the field of archeaoastronomy.  It is a good source for information on the Mayans, detailing their calendar, mathematics and obsession with tracking the stars.

Ferguson, William M. and John Q. Royce. Maya Ruins of Mexico in Color. Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 1977.  This book is a good place to start. It has good color photos of the main Maya sites and a description of the sites and architecture.

Henderson, John S. The World of the Ancient Maya. Second Edition, Ithaca and London: Cornell University Press, 1997.  This is a good comprehensive source covering the Maya culture. It has a few color photos but most are black and white.

Heyden, Doris and Paul Gendrop. Pre-Columbian Architecture of Mesoamerica. New York: Harry H. Abrams, Inc., 1975.  This book provides a good overview of the different Pre-Columbian cultures and their architecture with lots of black and white photos and some line drawings.
