I think that we all have ideas about changes we'd
like to make at work, in our family, at a religious organization, in
a club or other special-interest organization, on a sports teams,
etc.
Think about ONE organization/group where you think
change is necessary. Identify the situation (what type of
organization is it; what type of change is needed; and why?). Next,
using Exhibit 7-4 as your guide, identify ONE technique that would
be appropriate for overcoming resistance to the proposed change and
ONE technique that would not be appropriate. Defend your
selections.
You do not need to submit anything written for these Individual
Activities. These activities are designed for you to obtain
information and insight on your own personal characteristics and to
provide an opportunity for you to think about how material from your
readings applies in different situations. NOTE: You may be asked
to apply or discuss the information from these Individual Activities in
quizzes or exams.
