Overview

The technology utilized in this course will be familiar to some of you; for others, it may be your first experience with some of the on-line features which are part of this course. This lesson should help you become more comfortable with the technology and how the course is structured. In addition, the first module is designed to increase your familiarity with the course mechanics, goals, and deliverables. A course that is self-directed is often more challenging than one that involves face-to-face meetings. We often skip reading the details of a course (e.g., the syllabus). In this environment that is problematic.

Objectives


After completing this module, you will be able to:

1. Successfully use Blackboard
2. Understand the organization and operation of the course
3. Become familiar with the complex role of managers in an applied setting
