Chemistry 101 Lab

In order to view/print many of the items below you MUST have Adobe Reader installed on the computer you are using.

	Print out the experiments and read them over PRIOR to coming to lab.
	Do the pre-lab questions PRIOR to coming to lab and have them ready to turn in as soon as the bell for the start of lab rings.
	Do the post-lab questions in lab after completion of the lab experiment and be sure to turn it in with your lab write up before the end of the lab session.

	The laboratory is an integral part of the course. You are expected to attend and to participate in all scheduled labs.
	Failure to complete more than two laboratory sessions will result in a failing grade for the entire course.
	The laboratory must be written up and turned in before the end of the laboratory period.
	Attendance at check-out is required.
	Make-up laboratories will only be given for University excused absences. In order to schedule a make-up lab, you must make arrangements with the Lab Coordinator in Lab Services (REN 229). In the case of University excused athletic events and field trips, arrangements must be made at least a week prior to the absence. In the case of sudden severe illnesses, notify Lab Services (chem-labservices@uidaho.edu) as soon as you realize that you are too ill to attend lab. This does not automatically excuse you from lab. You must bring a note to the Lab Coordinator in Lab Services (REN 229) from your doctor stating that you were too ill to attend lab as soon as you are back in classes. In all cases, make-up labs must be completed within two weeks of the regularly scheduled lab session and prior to check-out week, whichever comes first.

After the first pre-lab, use your drawer number for your ID# and password to access your pre-lab and post-lab questions.

Check-Out	CHECK-OUT: On time attendance required Failure to check-out (on time) at your scheduled lab time will result in a deduction of 10 points from your total laboratory score as well as a monetary charge.
