See Sample Systems>>>

System Style • Notebook Computer
CPU • Intel® CoreTM i7 Processor 1
• Intel® CoreTM i5 Processor 1

1 Most currently available processor speeds work well with the up to date software.  A fast system is a balance between the speed of the processor, the amount of system memory, the video chipset/video ram and hard drive speed.

System Memory (RAM) • 6+ GB is Recommended (64bit System)
Video • Capable of:
     • WXGA - 1280 x 800 Screen Resolution (minimum)
     • True Color
Screen Size • 15.6" or 17"
Video Chipset • It is recommended that you specify video chipsets that use dedicated (discrete) RAM.  Video chipsets that employ a hybrid memory sharing technology are acceptable. A number of integrated video chipsets rely entirely on shared system RAM , these chipsets are not recommended.
Video Memory (RAM) • 1GB  (minimum)
• 2GB+  (suggested)
Network Interface Card (NIC) • 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet
          • either internal or external (PCMCIA Card)
Wireless Network Interface Card • College of Art and Architecture facilities are wireless capable (802.11 b/g compatable).
Hard Drive • 512GB - 5400 rpm (minimum)
Removable Storage • DVD +/- RW Burner (suggested)
• Blue-ray Optional
• USB Flash Drive (recommended)
• USB Hard Drive (good for projects and backup)
