Get YouTube Video URL
- Locate the YouTube videos URL at the top of the page
- It probably looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5PyIVVKoWU
- Remove the watch?v=
- Replace it with v/
- The URL will now look something like: http://www.youtube.com/v/g5PyIVVKoWU
- Test the URL by pasting it into a Web browser to make sure you're seeing just the video and not the rest of the YouTube interface

Add Video URL to PowerPoint Slide
- Open PowerPoint
- Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click PowerPoint Options

- Under Popular, click to select the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon
- Press OK

- Click on the Developer tab
- Click the More Controls icon

In the list of controls, click Shockwave Flash Object

Click OK

- Then click and drag on the slide to draw the box where the video will show
- Resize the control by dragging the sizing handles

Right-click the Shockwave Flash Object, and then click Properties

- On the Alphabetic tab, click the Movie property
- Right-click to Paste the URL copied from YouTube
- Click the Red X at the top right of the properties window to close it

- Test the video under the Slide Show tab
- Click From Current Slide
- Press Play on the YouTube video
