Consulting services to groups and on an individual basis are available on a variety of topics in ecology and ecophysiology, and the use of information technology in science education.

The professor has an accomplished record in research on plant response to environmental stress (e.g., competition, drought, freezing and high temperature stress,  and solar radiation). The consequences of stratospheric ozone depletion is a a major area of expertise.

The use of information technology in the science curriculum is a growing and important area of education. The professor has over 15 years of experience in the use of information technology for science education, with expertise in interactive multimedia for lecture presentations, scientific and conceptual graphics, digital sound and video, web design for online courses, and interactive electronic books). Consultation on these topics can be "hands-on" on an individual basis, or as presentations and workshops to groups.
