  1. Every environmental site and situation is different. However, the principle of equal treatment under the law suggests a "one size fits all" approach to environmental regulation. What is the most realistic and fair approach to environmental regulation in light of this conundrum.
  2. Two adjacent property owners have different goals in the use of their properties. One wishes to develop their property as a small coal power plant site and the other wants to develop a backcountry resort. In this case, how do values, law and property rights intersect? Is one development superior to the other on any of these scales?
  3. Compliance with environmental regulation is a costly endeavor. In what cases do these costs risk exceeding the benefits?
  4. How would you define an "environmental crime"?
