- Every environmental site and situation is different. However, the principle of equal treatment under the law suggests a "one size fits all" approach to environmental regulation. What is the most realistic and fair approach to environmental regulation in light of this conundrum.
- Two adjacent property owners have different goals in the use of their properties. One wishes to develop their property as a small coal power plant site and the other wants to develop a backcountry resort. In this case, how do values, law and property rights intersect? Is one development superior to the other on any of these scales?
- Compliance with environmental regulation is a costly endeavor. In what cases do these costs risk exceeding the benefits?
