Welcome to the home page for Fish 511/WSU 515

This graduate class will focus on principles of fish physiology and  
the methods that can be used to study physiology and ecophysiology.  We will address the vital organs and systems, growth, and reproduction of fishes; and thermal relationships.  Topics include respiration, osmoregulation, metabolism, growth, stress and reproduction. The class will be taught in an interactive fashion with  guest lectures, discussion sessions, and projects and presentations. Some of the guest lectures will be provided using compressed video links to other universities, and institutes. 

 

Dr. Christine M. Moffitt cmoffitt@uidaho.edu is the lead instructor for the class.

Dr. Alf Haukenes ahaukenes@uaex.edu will provide a unit on stress.  Dr. Haukenes is assistant professor at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
