iTunes Tutorial

Below is a tutorial that will get you started with Podcasting the Foodtox lectures through Apple's iTunes application.

1. Download iTunes
   
2. Connect iTunes to foodTox Podcast
   
3. Watch/Listen to a Lecture in iTunes
   
4. Watch/Listen to a Lecture on iPod

Download iTunes

• Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/
  
• Click Download iTunes
  Note: It's fine to leave the e-mail address field blank.
  
• Open up the installer and continue through the installation process.
  Note: You do not need to create an account in order to play audio in iTunes. The account is only needed if you plan on purchasing media through the built-in iTunes store.

Connect iTunes to foodTox Podcast

• Click on the iTunes link under Lectures.
   
  iTunes Video requires a high-bandwidth internet connection.
   
  iTunes Audio contains slides, outlines, and audio, and will work better for slower internet connections.
• Clicking on the Subscription links instead of the iTunes buttons will allow you to download files individually if needed.

Watch/Listen to a Lecture in iTunes

• Open iTunes if it isn't already open.
• Select Podcasts from the Library.
• Press the Get button next to the Foodtox Lecture materials you want to download.

• Click the Play button to begin playing the Lecture after it's downloaded.

Watch/Listen to a Lecture on iPod

• Plug your iPod into your computer via the iPod docking station or cable.
   
• Drag the Lecture from the Podcast Library to the iPod icon.
   
• Right-Click the iPod icon and select Sync iPod.
