This is a guide to help lower costs for items in the labs.
First as much as possible place orders with VWR or Fisher Scientific. Both have agreements with the UI that gives us discounts and free shipping in some cases.
Fisher Scientific has agreements with many scientific suppliers. General they offer 5-20% discounts with free shipping over $50. Their suppliers are
Chromatography

Chemicals
Where possible use Acros, which is Fisher Sci's major supplier over Aldrich.
VWR does not have any minimum for free shipping, and again offer comparable discounts.

How to order.
Use the catalog number of the requested item from the original supplier, e.g. Upchurch, then on the order form instruct Barb that this is through either Fisher or VWR.
