Recent
Technical Work on the Consequence Argument
Ted A. Warfield
I survey and evaluate recent technical
and semi-technical work on the Consequence Argument.
Much of this work has focused on Peter van Inwagen’s “rule beta”
and various understandings of what it is to have “a choice” about the truth
value of a proposition. I discuss
work by Timothy O’Connor, Thomas McKay and David Johnson, Laura Ekstrom, Erik
Carlson, Peter van Inwagen, David Widerker, and others.
