Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) Application

 
Steps to Applying to (PUCE):

Complete all and submit to UI Study Abroad Office:

  1. UI Supplemental Application & Agreement (pdf)

  2. PUCE Application Form (pdf)

  3. PUCE Housing Request Form (pdf)

  4. Notarized doctor's letter. (You can do this at the UI Student Health Center)

    • Letter should state that the person "does not have any communicable diseases."

    • A Notary Public will need to see the doctor sign this letter (FYI - there is a Notary in the UI Health Center)

  5. 4 passport size photos (3 for PUCE and 1 for UI)

  6. Color copy of passport

  7. Official transcripts from all universities and colleges that you have attended.
    Note: If you are a UI student, use the UI Transcript Request form (pdf) to do this.  Please write "UI Study Abroad" in the "Mail to" box.

  8. Disciplinary Clearance Form (pdf) (UI Students only)

  9. Transfer Credit Letter of Understanding (pdf)  (Non-UI students only)

  10. A $350 application fee/deposit ($200 deposit is put toward your program fee, $150 application fee) will be charged to your UI Student Account. Non-UI students should send a check payable to UI Bursar with their application.

Preferred Application Deadlines:

For Fall or Academic Year:    April 1
For Spring:    October 15

Note:  Some programs fill prior to the application deadlines.  Students should apply early to ensure a spot on the program.  Also, the UI Study Abroad Office will consider additional applicants after these deadlines provided space is still available on the program.
 

UI Refund Policies:

  • The $150 application fee is non-refundable

  • The $200 deposit is refundable if you withdraw from your program by the billing deadlines below. Non-refundable after these dates.

    • Fall/Full-Year Programs: July 1st

    • Spring Programs: December 1st

    • Summer Programs: May 1st

  • The entire program fee is non-refundable if you withdraw after the official program start date.
