Internships
All students undertaking an AEC semester or year abroad program will be able to participate in an optional one month full time internship in Australia. The internship program will be based as much as possible on the individual student’s needs, and the areas currently available are:
• health services
• business
• technology
• architecture
• administration
• school administration
There will be a charge for internships as they will be all inclusive in nature and will include housing and meals for the whole month. Internships are non-paid. A Certificate of Completion will be given to all students who satisfactorily complete their internship. Students may be able to receive credit for their internships from their home schools. AEC will be happy to provide whatever details are required to facilitate the transfer of credit.
In order to arrange for an internship, students must already have been accepted into an AEC university. Information on the Internship Program will automatically be sent to all students that accept AEC offers for semester and year abroad study. The Internship Program will be managed through the AEC Office in Canberra, Australia.
