Hydroprocessing of materials laboratory conducts the
research relevant to processing of metals in aqueous and nonaqueous
solutions. Types of research include dissolution (ambient and under
pressure), solvent extraction, ion exchange, precipitation, adsorption/desorption,
electrochemical processing, bioleaching, etc. The laboratory is heavily
dependant on analytical instrumentation.
