The
purpose of this section of the class is to explain the strategies and
tactics employed by wildland
fire management personnel in the United States. We will describe historical
and current practices and via lesson learned videos evaluate what is
effective. The
lectures and readings in this section, will enable the student to achieve
the following learning objectives:
