Welcome to the State of Idaho
Substance Abuse Social Indicators Web Page
This site contains archival social indicator data sets
within Idaho relevant to statewide and regional substance abuse and
dependence. When complete, it will be the most comprehensive database in
the state and will include trend data since 1992.
Use Prevention Variables
(right) for assessing variables related directly for providing,
designing, researching, and evaluating substance abuse prevention
programs. Use Treatment Variables (left) for accessing variables related to substance abuse treatment
programs. Many of the variables overlap between treatment and
prevention.
The project is headed by
Dr. Steven E. Meier,
Associate Professor of Psychology at the
University of
Idaho, in conjunction with the
Idaho
Department of Health and Welfare. Contact Dr. Meier for discussion of
all data, or for discussion regarding the development of large scale
statistical web sites for governmental agencies or industry.
