Vital Signs Tool Day at the National Building Museum happened on April 22 (Earth Day). It was an all-day affair during which participants became familiar with the NBM and gained hands-on experience measuring aspects of its performance, e.g. daylighting, thermal stratification, visual comfort, air movement. NBM Executive Vice-President Martin Moeller acted as genial host for this Vital Signs program, revealing the NBM as a fascinating building and set participants loose to enjoy analyzing all its quirks, nooks, crannies, and just-plain-oddities. Society of Building Science Educators (SBSE) members, university students, professional architects and engineers, and the general public participated. |
