Tips for using the course materials

The interactive lesson should display full-screen on your computer, i.e., there should not be any scroll bars. If your computer is not properly configured, the lesson navigation controls will not be accessible.

Minimum screen resolution is 1280 X 800
Use the function eleven key (F11) to set browser to full screen
Set task bar to "auto hide"

if the interactive lesson does not load edge-to-edge on your screen, reduce the size of the browser window slightly (see bottom right of browser status bar for zoon control)

The interaction will not appear on your screen if all pop-up blockers are not disabled. If you see a white screen with the SumTotal logo only, i.e., no interactive lesson appears, then your browser or another program is still blocking pop-up browser windows. Two principal settings must be changed in your browser setup: Security and Privacy.

Tutorial on setting up your Internet Explorer browser

Be sure to allow "pop up" windows for this course internet site. Your browser can be set to allow this: (1) Tools, (2) Internet options, (3) privacy settings, (4) Settings, (5) add the site address www.webpages.uidaho.edu to allowed site. The setting can also be selected at the time the browser prompts you.

The site address, www.webpages.uidaho.edu, must also be added to "trusted sites" under the "Security" section of your browser setup.

Confirm that other programs, e.g., virus security programs and other browser add-ons, are not set to block pop-up browser windows.
