Description:

THEA 390 is a practicum course designed for advanced experiential based learning.   Towards that end, advanced theatre students participate in production or performance roles designed to forward the production mission of the department.   In short, students work with faculty and peers to complete the presentation of the academic season in the roles, which they are assigned.   Theatre Majors are required to take four (4) semesters of 390 in either production or performance to be eligible for graduation.

Requirements:

Achieve 60 hours per credit of contact time in your assigned role in production or performance.

Submit your Timesheet the Monday of Midterms and the Monday of Finals Week.

 

Grading:

In addition to achieving your hours, your immediate supervisor (technical director, costume shop supervisor, director, advisor, etc.) will be asked to grade your performance, attitude, and work ethic.   This will be factored into your grade thus:

 

Complete Hours + Exemplary Performance & Attitude            = “A”

Complete Hours + Above Average Performance & Attitude    = “B”

Complete Hours + Average Performance & Attitude               = “C”

Lacking Hours, or Poor Performance & Attitude                     = “D”

No Show, No Attempt, No Communication                            = “F”
