How can we develop a biodiesel fuel
production facility on the Palouse?
With the cost of
gasoline on the rise in America drivers are looking to alternative
fuels for the future. One of the most promising fuels is biodiesel. The University of Idaho has been a leader in this
field for over a decade. This workshop will focus on the obstacles
surrounding the construction of a production plant, public awareness
and regional investment. The desired outcome would include the
formation of a task group to address obstacles to commercialization
of biodiesel and to facilitate local plant development, biodiesel
use in centrally-fueled fleets, and installation of a public fueling
station.
