-GSA needs representatives to go to other groups. Please see an executive officer if you are interested in helping out.

-History of GSA:

·         2 main queer student orgs in this area

o   North West gay people’s alliance but not official

o   GSA formed in 1991

·         Proposition 1 anti-gay law launched GSA into a student organization.

·         LGBTQA office founded to take over safe zone and offer resources to students and student organizations

-Safe Zone Presentation:

·         Every Tuesday in the diversity center in the TLC at 3 pm there will be Safe Zone Training

·         If you have any questions about LGBTQ issues you can go to the LGBTQ office in the Women’s center in Memorial Gym.

-WSU Announcements

·         WSU GIESORC  meetings Tuesday at 7:00 pm in CUB 406

·         Q talk every Thursday at 4:30 in the GIESORC center at WSU

·         Next meeting is at 7:30 in the CUB with a social after. See Tara for car pooling.

·         Next Thursday a guest speaker at 4:30 at the center

-Unity 

·         Unity is an Umbrella organization for minority student organizations

·         The administrative assistant resigned and Unity is looking for someone to fill it. Please contact Ellie Tolbert if you are interested.

·         Unity needs  GSA to contribute to a float
