Class Policies

Two tests will be given counting 100 points each. Quiz grades will
total 100 points. Quizzes will generally be unannounced and most will be take home quizzes. Missed quizzes cannot be made up. A 75 point project will be assigned toward the end of the semester and will count as half of the 150 point final exam. Make-up tests will not be given. In the case of a documented emergency, the final exam will be increased in value to compensate for a missed test.

While homework is not used in the determination of grades, homework will be
assigned and you are strongly urged to hand in your homework so that it can be
returned to you with corrections and comments as an aid to your understanding
of the material.

If you have any special needs or circumstances, feel free to meet with me to discuss what can be done to help you fulfill the requirements of the class. If you have been given an accommodation form by Student Services, please come see me so that we can be sure that the accommodation is carried out correctly. Also, if you feel that you have a learning issue that is interfering with your academic success, I urge you to contact Student Services who will see that your needs are considered and appropriately addressed.
