Genetics (BIOL 210):(4 credits)

Genetic mechanisms in animals, plants, and microorganisms. Three lectures and one 3-hour lab a week.
Prereq: Biol 115 or MMBB 250. (Fall only).  The materials for this course are provided through blackboard.

 

Genomics (BIOL 444) (4 credits)

Structural, functional, and comparative genomics of animals, plants, fungi, and microbes.  Case studies illustrating a genomic approach to questions of fundamental biological and scientific relevance will be drawn from diverse fields such as human medicine, evolutionary biology, ecology, and agriculture.  PrereqBiol 115, 116, 210 or MMBB 250.  (Fall only / alternate years).  Materials for this course are provided through blackboard.

 

 

Topics in Fish Biology (BIOL 504) (1 credit)

Discussion group focusing on fish biology, including reproduction, genetics, behavior, ecology, conservation, immunology, and physiology.
