There are several tools in Enterprise Miner for exploring data. The Insight node offers a variety of tools for data exploration, and is also available outside of Enterprise Miner. Follow this link to our Statistical Consulting Center presentation on Insight for exploring data. The Distribution Explorer and Multiplot nodes also can be used for exploratory analyses.
Data often need to be transformed prior to statistical analysis, and the Transform Variables node is used for this purpose. Many examples of its use will be given in the lecture.
