Project Description - Statistics 550 - Spring 2017

The course project for Stat 550 is to give a short (10-12 minute) talk in class on a course-related subject. The subject of the talk must be approved by Dr. Williams and could be, for example, on a section of the text not covered in class or on a paper referenced in lecture or in the text.

Project evaluation:

Each student will write comments about other student's talks.  A small part of the project grade for each student will be based on these comments of other talks.

General notes:

• The talk must use slides (for example, from a Powerpoint or PDF file) with an appropriate font size (30 or above for general text) and must include an outline slide.
• The talk will also include a 1-2 page handout that summarizes the talk.
