General Location and Strategy: FE20 is on the east flank of Fernandina, outboard of FE10.

Field Notes: First hike to FE10 by hiking along the caldera rim and through brush from FE08 (detailed directions to FE08 from camp are on that page). Go straight down cinder slope and veer to the left of the vegetated patch. All on very young lava and scoria. Site is near a lone cactus. Takes about 4 hours without load from camp.
