SN21

3/27/00

00 47.89 S LATITUDE
91 07.98 W LONGITUDE

General Location and Strategy: SN21 is the northernmost point on the caldera floor. Along with SN21 and SN08, it is meant to provide a N-S cross section of deformation of the caldera.

Field Notes:

Days measured:  07 Jan 00 - 08 Jan 00

(N edge of caldera floor)

Monument SN21 is located ~20m S-SW from the point where a'a, slabby pahoehoe, and (green) avalanche ridge meet on the caldera floor; the monument is in a flat, massive section of the pahoehoe flow approximately 20m S of the N edge of the flow.

Antenna height:  0.596m + 0.108m = 0.704m
Antenna offset:

Power up:  1520h (local), 07 Jan 00
Power down:  1511h (local), 08 Jan 00

2000 Results

SN21 was measured during a single session on 1/8/00.
The reported uncertainty uses the sigma of the single difference observations as a scaling factor and is obviously a gross underestimate.
