General Location and Strategy: SN23 is on the northwestern caldera rim, intended to capture any near-summit diking and gross deformation of the summit region. It was unplanned and sited when a receiver became available due to unforeseen logistical difficulties of working on the caldera floor.

Monument SN23 is located in patch of agglutinated spatter within red/ orange cinder.

Antenna height to base:  0.430 m + 0.108m = 0.538m
Antenna offset: 0.353m

2000 Results:

SN23 was measured for about 6.5 hours on 1/6 and 14 hours on 1/7 before it was move to site SN21.
Data from the 2 GPS days were combined. Solution was made by fixing Base (SN01).
The first reported uncertainty uses the sigma of the coordinate group as a scaling factor and may be too pessimistic. The second uses the sigma of the single difference observations as a scaling factor.
