Pinta


Pinta is best known as being the home of the rarest species on Earth. The entire population of the Pinta tortoises is limited to a single male who calls himself "Lonesome George". Despite this horrendously sad state and the absence of any landing sites, Pinta is a great volcano, with an older shield and younger fissure system. There's a sector collapse of the west side of the shield. Andy Cullen did a bang-up M.S. thesis on Pinta that was condensed and published:
