About Me

I graduated from Bowling Green State University in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and minors in Women's Studies and Social Psychology. My research interests include inequalities both in the criminal justice system and in society, victimization, corrections and violence. Both my teaching and my research tend to revolve around these areas, although I love to be part of a wide variety of topics and am always looking for new and exciting projects.

I teach Research Methods, Introduction to Justice Studies, and Criminology. I have also taught White Collar Crime and Serial Killers and Mass Murders. I'm in the process of developing courses on Criminal Theory, Corrections, and Crime and Mass Media. I enjoy teaching topics that get my students excited about learning and becoming aware of what the world looks like.
