Human Ecosystems Study Group (HESG)
Introduction

Formed in 2006, the Human Ecosystems Study Group (HESG) is an evolving group of scientists, graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and professional resource managers working to apply the Human Ecosystem Model (HEM) to a variety of critical environmental and social problems. The scope of work is broad—from local applications to global concerns—and there is a strong international component to HESG activities. HESG members collaborate on projects, publications, and presentations about the HEM and its applications. The HESG sponsors an occasional lecture series at the University of Idaho, as well as informal gatherings for interested graduate students and faculty.
