Nucleic Acid Center

One of the powerhouses of nucleic acid chemistry headed by Dr. Hrdlicka’s former graduate supervisor, Prof. Jesper Wengel. Our group continues to have a strong collaboration with our Danish friends.

IBEST

The Initiative for Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Studies (IBEST) is an interdisciplinary research group at the University of Idaho. IBEST blends expertise from biologists, biochemists, mathematicians, statisticians, and computer scientists to examine the underpinnings of evolutionary biomedicine and to develop the analytical tools needed to do so.

Bantech Center

There is a very interesting interdisciplinary center at UI which is facilitated by:

• An appropriate student/faculty ratio, allowing close interactions between the various research groups
• Expertise in a variety of research niches 
• A genuine interest to collaborate across disciplines
