Moscow is located in the Inland Northwest of USA, approximately 5 hours east of Seattle, 4 hours south of the Canadian border and 5 hours north of Idaho’s capital, Boise. The city of Moscow is small and friendly with a great sense of community and a thriving arts and music scene. The area offers outstanding opportunities for skiing, hiking, rafting, fishing, boating, mountain biking and hunting as we are surrounded by lakes, rivers, mountains, hills, prairie, forests, wildlife, and canyons. Several national parks are within a day drive including Glacier, Yellowstone, Hells Canyon, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helen’s, North Cascades, Olymipic, Banff and Craters of the Moon. The climate in Moscow is dominated by the altitude (~3000 ft) and the presence of the Rocky Mountain foothills in our backyard. The distinct seasons include a moist spring, long summer, a beautiful fall, and winters with very variable snow accumulation. All in all, it is not surprising why Moscow often is voted one of the top college towns in US. |
