I am Special Assistant to the President for Agricultural Initiatives at the University of Idaho,

and a Professor in Agribusiness Management in the Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology Department at the University of Idaho.

I am Dean Emeritus for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.  You can reach me at:

Mt. Vernon High School. I graduated from Mt. Vernon H.S., located in Alexandria, VA in 1975.

Alpha Tau Zeta, The agricultural fraternity I belonged to at Ohio State.

The Ohio State University, where I got my Bachelors and Masters degrees in the Department of Agricultural Economics (now Agricultural, Environmental and Developmental Economics) in 1979 and 1981, respectively.

Purdue University, where I got my Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics in 1991.

Organizations:

Latah County Free Library District. I am past president of the library district board.

Boy Scouts of America. I strongly believe in the BSA, and do a lot of volunteering for this great youth organization.

Chief Kamiakin District, BSA. This is the District that covers our home area.

1997 National B.S.A. Contingent Troop from the Inland Northwest Council. I was an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 819 that went to the Jamboree from the the Inland Northwest Council.

Boy Scout Troop 345. Moscow, ID. I was an assistant Scoutmaster for this troop, sponsored by the First United Methodist Church of Moscow, and where my sons John and James were members.

Cub Scout Pack 323. Moscow, ID. I am past Cubmaster for this pack, sponsored by the Moscow American Legion.

Simon Kenton Council, BSA. I was a staff member at Camp Buckeye in this council when I was in college.
