May 1979-July 1986, Senior Staff Engineer and Research and Development Manager, Stoner Consulting Engineers, Inc., and Stoner Associates, Inc. Conducted studies on transient flow problems associated with water supply, sewage disposal, irrigation, and off-shore LNG unloading facilities. Performed analysis on pipeline failure for litigation purposes. Developed computer programs for transient flows in deep sea well head control lines, for transient natural gas flow in cross country pipelines with compressor and chiller stations and with heat transfer to the environment, and for on-line batch tracking and leak detection of petroleum products pipelines. Conducted research on numerical aspects of transient flow simulations. Provided maintenance, quality assurance, and user training and support of existing general purpose software packages for simulating transient flows in pipeline systems.
