Yucca moths on the
Tree of Life
Our
understanding of diversity within the yucca moth family, Prodoxidae, has changed
dramatically in the last several years. This is true both in terms of species
numbers and life histories. This diversity is reflected on the web site for the
family on The Tree of Life, a site run by Wayne and David Maddison out of th
Univ of Arizona, dedicated to organizing our knowledge about all branches of life. Yucca moths was the group where
diversity was first described down to the species level -- use it as a starting
