NOTES ON GRADING, EXAMS & ATTENDANCE
      * Each examination contributes 25% of the total course grade. Since there
         are three examinations this means that examinations contribute 75% of
         your course grade. Individual examinations will NOT be "curved".
      * Homework counts as 25% of your course grade. Late assignments will not be
         accepted. 
      * Extra credit work should not be anticipated.
      * The most stringent grading scale that may be applied is 90%+ = "A",

     80%-90% = "B", 70%-80% = "C", 60%-70% = D, Below 60% = F.

      * Both attendance and participation are expected. Missed exams will generally
