Attending to those chickens

Most of my figures and animals are from Woodland Scenics with some from Rustic Rails, Preiser (imported from Germany) and Comestock Carshops.  Comestock offered some nice loggers.  Its fun putting some of the animals and birds here and there, as if hidden in the underbrush, to be discovered by the attentive eye.  I have the little fox stocking a duck in the pond, for example.  Besides the chickens and ducks, I've included deer, a couple of hawks, a goose, a fox, squirrels and even bison.  Yes, there was a time when buffalo ran free on the Palouse of Idaho.  If you look closely, you'll even find a chimpanzee looking down from his ridge!  I had a few figures from my high school days, the origins of which is unknown.  The fellow at the "mountain station and store" is one such example. I did modify the fly rods on the two fly fishermen, replacing their rather "thick rods" with much smaller diameter wire to better simulate a fly rod.  One of the challenges is in locating suitable human figures, dressed in the appropriate attain for a logging and rural railroad scene, ca. 1910 era.  Preiser does help, by offering a "1900's" series of figures.
