Alvin Howe - 1998 |
Alvin Howe, whose Indian name was Baaschhiili-haa, "Other Whiteman," was by his example and in his words, a true champion of the Sun Dance religion, the Crow people, and the teachings of Coyote. Alvin was a member of the Whistling Water clan and participated in over 50 Sun Dance ceremonies. A strong adherent of the "traditional way" of the Crow, Baaschhiili-haa, at the age of 62, passed away on June 20, 2000, following an extended illness.
