CLYTEMNESTRA
by Tadashi Suzuki, directed by Yukihiro Goto, University of Pittsburgh, 1996

Traditional and avant-garde techniques of Japanese theatre were applied to this production
to tell the story of the bloody history of the house of Atreus.
The eclectic production style juxtaposed Western and Japanese elements
as well as modern and classical ones. Included in the design were a rain curtain
and elevator to facilitate the Furies assent from below.
