To
restate our hypothesis - The
combination of the roof and external vertical pillars are ineffective as a
shading device.
Our case study of the Campus Police Station showed that, for the most part, the roof and pillars do indeed provide adequate shading during the middle part of the day regardless of season. During the early morning and late afternoon, however, no shading occurs. This is beneficial in winter but detrimental in summer. So our research proved that our hypothesis was partially correct.
