4 quizzes @20 points = 80 points
2 midterm exams @ 30 points = 60 points CANCELED
Final exam 20 points = 20 pointsTotal = 100 points
Three extra credit projects @ 5 points = 15 points maximum (Any 3 of the 5 ECs)
All tests and quizzes are graded on a curve; median score is lowest B; approximately 10% As and 10% Ds and Fs.
If you miss a quiz or exam, you may schedule a make-up. It is best to do this before the scheduled test. If that's not possible, please do so as soon as possible. If the key has been posted via e-mail or on the ECS wall, you will not be allowed to make up the quiz.
Final grade: the sum of lowest Bs or median total score, whichever is the lower, determines the lowest B.
Extra credit is added after the final curve has been determined.
Arch 463L Lab Portion (1 cr)
4 mini case studies @ 25 points = 100 points
2 extra credit projects @ 5 points = 10 points maximum (EC #3a, 4 may be applied if you so desire)
The labs are not graded on a curve.
90 points = the lowest A (4 x 22.5) |
80 points = the lowest B (4 x 20) |
70 points = the lowest C (4 x 17.5) |
60 points = the lowest D (4 x 15) |
The highest possible score on a late or resubmitted lab project is 22.
