Don't Store Recordings in BbLearn! BbLearn does not perform well as a video host, making it difficult for students to successfully watch videos stored there. Instead, Link to or Embed your video in your BbLearn course once it is successfully hosted elsewhere. Note: You may also Link to or Embed existing videos in BbLearn such as TED Talks or demonstration videos.

Distributing Zoom Recordings to Students

FERPA-Protected VideoSTORE FERPA-PROTECTED RECORDINGS

Microsoft Stream should be used to store ALL FERPA-protected video. Protect Zoom recordings containing student faces or names by assigning the correct permissions to your recording stored in MS Stream as follows:

  1. Within MS Stream Permissions, uncheck Allow everyone in your company to view this video.
  2. Assign MS Groups for each course section to a video to give enrolled students assess. These MS Groups are generated by ITS and are updated once a day (e.g. Spring 2021 - MUSH201-01).
