What Defusing the Bias Bomb in Class: Applied Strategies
Info Implicit and explicit biases confound and complicate our efforts to establish and maintain civil, respectful, and productive learning experiences and environments. This year, a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students formed a learning community to share and develop strategies to identify and defuse bias campus-wide. This session focuses specifically on our classes. We will work through an inventory of applied strategies to identify and address bias in our teaching and learning practices and spaces.
