What Show, don’t Tell: Online Portfolios as Assessments
Info Student-created online portfolios can provide proof of understanding as well as show links between theory and practice based on demonstrable skills. Plus, students find them fun and helpful within and beyond the classroom.

In this workshop, we will illustrate the benefits (and how-to) of student-created online portfolios. Topics will include how and why portfolios can be used as an alternative means of formative or summative assessment for students to showcase their work, record progress, self-reflect, apply their learning and deepen their knowledge of the subject matter. Three free, easy to set-up online platforms for students to create their online portfolios will be demonstrated.
Demo tools: Weebly, Wix and PortfolioGen
