Grand Tetons, Jackson WY

Drive to Jackson
Plan to stay at the American Alpine Club's Climbers Ranch
The area has hundreds of routes for traditional climbing.  Climb the Grand Teton if you haven't yet.
Plan on a full day to slog your gear up to basecamp.  You need to get Grand Teton National Park permits ( backcountry permit reservations)  for a camping spot.  You can get these at the ranger station if you don't reserve them ahead of time.  Try to get a spot on the lower saddle (which is the highest camp site allowed and has good water availability).  It also puts you up the mountain further when you begin the early morning start of the climb. It would be good to have a small group and reserve ahead of time as the lower saddle is a fragile area so permits are limited.  There are numerous opportunities for spaces to camp lower down on the moraine if you don't get the lower saddle.
