This web module is designed to be used in either of two ways.
You can complete it as a whole at your own pace to help you review ecology terms and concepts.
Or, you can access any portion of it for quick reference.
There are examples and test questions throughout the web module to help you evaluate your understanding of the concepts that are reviewed.
This web module is not designed or developed to replace an introductory ecology course.
We hope it will help you when you need a quick review of a key concept that you once learned in more depth, or when you need an overview before searching out more detailed information on a broad topic like succession.
The primary purpose is to provide you with a summary of the concepts we expect you to thoroughly understand before you take a course that requires a natural resources ecology course as a prerequisite.
